Q) Is rain water safe?
A) Yes. Rain water is pure and soft once its filtered off the roof and out of the tank it will be cleaner then your present tap water.
Q) What is rain water recovery?
A) It is the reuse of rain water coming off your roof to water lawns, gardens, flush toilets and wash clothes.
Q) How can rain water be used?
A) Lawn and garden, flushing of toilets, washing of vehicles and boats, fountains, washing clothes, showering and filling pools or hot tubs
Q) What happens if it doesn’t rain?
A) Some systems will have a back up city water supply; others will have a safety device to shut the system down so the well won't run dry.
Q) How much can I save by using rain water?
A) Half your water bill or usage from your well and that’s only if you use rain water to water your lawn and garden.
Q) Why use rain water instead of a well?
A) All well’s draw from the same source our aquifer and water table. Rain water is completely free.
Q) How much rain water will an average house yield?
A) A 1,200 square foot roof will yield 800 gallons of rain water per 1” of rain fall..
Q) Where will the tanks be located?
A) In the rear of the house. They could be installed above or below ground.
Q) What size tank will I need?
A) This depends on the size of the roof, rainfall and water demand.
